Toni Bravo, is originally from Mexico City.  She left Latin America in search of Democracy and hasn’t found it.  Toni studied and performed throughout the planet before coming to Austin.  Here she has worked with almost everyone in the dance and theatre scenes of Austin.
Bravo is willing to explore most any performance possibility. She has been awarded best choreographer title by Austin Chronicle’s BOA for three years in a row.  She presents her independent politically charged works through Diverse Space Dance Theatre produced by KINESIS Dancetheatre System Productions. Ms. Bravo also directs Ballet Austin’s Dance in Education programs and conducts an award-winning program at St Michel’s Academy and St. Andrew’s Upper School.

VCP is a non-profit arts organization that presents programs that include a variety of theatre arts. Our performers have been recognized for their artistic endeavors through local, national or international awards and contracts.

The Violet Crown Players and Diverse Space Dance Theatre under the direction of Toni Bravo collaborate on all of our programs to more effectively and efficiently use our combined resources and talents.  Together, we artistically develop original program pieces focusing on important social, environmental and political topics and present them in thought provoking, exciting, and innovative ways.  Violet Crown contributes in a unique way to the cultural landscape of the city.

We have established longstanding relationships with quality performers and other performing arts organizations like Capital City Men’s Chorus, OnStage Productions, Second Youth, Belaharr, Esquina Tango and Austin Playhouse.  We also cultivate and maintain relationships with various educational organizations like Boys and Girls Club, St. Michael’s Academy, St. Andrews High School, and Ballet Austin.
